As much as I hate to admit it, we are big soda drinkers in this house. Spending way more then I’dlike on soda every month. Like a lot of people I’ve seen the commercials for Sodastreamand wondered if the Sodastream really made soda at home that tasted like its manufactured counterparts. This past week I was lucky enough to get to sample Sodastream and several of their flavor mixes.

We received a variety of the flavors and types of carbonated beverages that the Sodastream has to offer. The first that we tried out were from their Regular Flavor Selection. In this category there are every soda flavor you can think of, Root Beer, Lemon Lime, Fountain Mist, Cream Soda, Cola, and so many others. I have to say that I’m not crazy about these because they are sweetened with Splenda rather than High Fructose Corn Syrup. Which is great because it makes them a little better for your health, but I am sensitive to Sucralose (Splenda). Artificial Sweeteners give me the worst headaches.
All is not lost though; Sodastream has a Sparkling Naturals Selection. Sparkling Naturals contain no artificial flavors, no artificial colors and no artificial sweeteners. Sweetened with Cane Sugar. Yes, while the flavor selection for Sparkling Naturals isn’t as large as the Regular Selection it has all my personal favorite flavors, like Root Beer, and Lemon Lime. More flavors coming in this month (June 2012). They are delicious!
We also tried the Energy Drink which tastes exactly like Red Bull. Another that we really enjoyed was the Sparkling MyWater Essences, which was a great way to entice my son to drink more water on hot days. We are really enjoying our Sodastream and will be purchasing more liters as we all enjoy different flavors.
Prices for Regular and Natural flavor mixes range from $4.99 to $6.99. MyWater Essence for Sparkling Water is $9.99 for a 3 pack of flavor essences. Sodastream can be purchased on the Sodastream website as well as many stores such as Bed, Bath and Beyond, Wal-Mart, Target, Costco, and Kohl’s. If you and your family are soda drinkers I highly recommend the Sodastream it makes delicious soda right at home and it is so much cheaper than buying from the grocery store at about 25 Cents a liter.

First up, one of Yellow Rose's 6oz Tureen Candles I was sent a double layer candle with Cinnamon on the top and Hot Cocoa on the bottom. I really love it. It has a strong Scent throw without being over powering and is burning slowly. I want to mention too that I don't normally care for the scent of Cinnamon in candles because I find that they normally smell more like cinnamon chewing gum than a cinnamon stick. Yellow Rose's cinnamon scent smells like the real thing and when the cinnamon and hot cocoa started to mix it smelled like heaven. The Tureen candles can be purchased in 6oz ($6.50), 8oz($8.00), and 11oz($10.50). They are made with 100% Soy wax and lead free wicks and there are 55 scents to choose from.
The next is the Sensual Touch Moisturizing Soy Candle. They are $9.00 for 4oz. I was sent the Southern Magnolia which smells so good and reminds me of summer. I had never used a moisturizing candle and had no idea what to expect but I was pleasantly surprised by how moisturizing the candle was. It was not heavy or sticky at all. It rubbed right into my skin and was really good on my dry elbows. There are 9 scents to choose from as well as Soy Massage Melts that are made to be melted in any tart or electric warmer. Apricot oil is used in both the candles and melts which is rich in vitamin E, and known for its gentle moisturizing properties.
Last but not least I was sent the Caribbean Bath Salt in Lavender. This smelled great and was really great at soothing my sore muscles. With real lavender mixed in with the bath salt. I have a great jacuzzi tub that I never get to use. I have to thank Melanie from Yellow Rose Gifts Company for sending this particular item because for once I got to hop in the bath turn on the jacuzzi jets and tell everyone, "I'm working!". Hehe. I hopped out completely relaxed and ready for bed. The Caribbean Sea Salt come in 8oz jars for $8.50 and come in 5 different scents.
All in all I have absolutely nothing bad to say about any of the products I was sent to review. They are all great and very reasonably priced. I've been a Diamond Candles fan now for about 8 or 9 months. If you haven't already learned this about me, I am kind of obsessed with candles and such as I love a nicely scented home. So as you can imagine when I found out I could get a candle that not only smelt great but had a ring inside I was ecstatic. Did I mention that Diamond Candles cost $24.95 for a 21 oz candle which is the same price as other leading brand name candles. Each and every candle contains a foiled wrapped and protected ring. Diamond Candles was founded Jan. 2011 and has exploded since. They offer high quality soy candles with lead free wicks.
I have owned 4 Diamond Candles in the past 8 or 9 months and have been happy with the scent of them all. I've tried the Sunwashed which smells like clean laundry, Dusk which is a sort of softened mens cologne, and the Green Apple which is my favorite so far. Oh!, it smells amazing just like a fresh green apple. I only listed 3 scents and that is because I had a problem with my first Dusk candle not burning properly. I contacted Diamond Candles about the issue and they very promptly sent out a replacement. Diamond Candles has some of the best customer service I have ever encountered.

I have always enjoyed looking at old pictures and asking questions of my grandparents about their own lives and what they know about their parents and grandparents. Usually, I find that they have forgotten a lot of details. What a great way for me to preserve facts about myself and my parents while its all still somewhat fresh in my mind. Scentsy! As you may by now already know I have been on the hunt for good quality candles that don't break the bank. Well, I will search no more because the answer is Scentsy. No, it's not a candle. It's better. Scentsy uses non-toxic food based wax, that is made to melt at a low temperature in their warmers that use low wattage bulbs. They never get hot enough to burn. I like this because I have a 2 year old running around. While he has little chance to actually ever be able to reach the warmer anyway, this still gives me peace of mind. Should he ever actually make it that far it is non-toxic and it will not burn.
I have been sitting here staring at my laptop screen for quite sometime, I really want to get across to you all how amazing this product is. I have always been one to have candles burning pretty much all day everyday. I just love the way they smell. That being said I have spent a pretty penny on candles that burn quickly and lose their scent just as fast. Scentsy's bars are only $5.00 and if you really love a scent you can buy a massive brick for $20.00. The bars last between 60 to 80+ hours. With my mid-size warmer and 2 cubes from a bar my whole house smells amazing! I am truly in love with Scentsy. The first day I got my scentsy warmer and three bars, I loved it so much that very night, I bought three more bars! Frankly, as I write I would like to buy more. I seriously want to try every scent, and there are over 80 of them! Not to mention the fact that shipping is inexpensive and fast. For me the only downfall has been trying to decide which scent to use.
Scentsy doesn't just sell warmers, bars and bricks, they also have Scentsy Room Sprays, Travel Tins, Fragrance Foam(hand sanitizer), Scentpaks, Scent Circles(car fresheners) and Scentsy Buddies. New to their collection are solid perfumes. I was sent the Love Story solid perfume. It smells amazing and to my surprise lasts all day. It reminds me of two of my favorite body mists put together. The top note that I smell the most in it is amber. With softer notes of Jasmine and dark chocolate. Sounds amazing? It smells amazing. I am truly impressed with Scentsy as a whole. Everything I have tried, I have loved.
My first experience with actual Scentsy consultants was not the greatest. The consultants in my area never got back to me with questions I had about the product, but with a little research I found Krystal. She is great. She actually has her own Youtube channel StinkPrettyTV. Her enthusiasm and love for Scentsy really shows through. Not only, that but she goes above and beyond for her customers. She is located in Alaska but she will send you products and samples to have your own basket party at your home or work. Did I mention she will send the supplies for your basket party on her dime? Hosting parties is a great way to earn free products too. The big thing that I want to add about Krystal is that for every party booked from now till Spring she is going to donate a Sasha bear to Providence Child Life Center. Which is not only helping the children at her local hospital but all proceeds from the purchase of the Sasha Scentsy bear go to Ronald McDonald House Charities. So, a while ago I posted a list of websites where I get freebies. The best ones require a little bit of work but they are well worth it and so much fun. My favorites are BzzAgent and Influenster. With both these websites you take surveys and write reviews in order to get to a higher level where you can receive products to try and review. I have done several reviews for companies through BzzAgent but this is my first Influenster Voxbox! Yay! It was a long night we had our first storm in a long while with very loud thunder that kept us all up. So I had a very fussy toddler today and this was just what the doctor ordered. I recently made a trip to Bath & Body Works. I had not been in to purchase candles but being a candle lover I couldn't resist these tiny little 1.6oz Slatkin & Co candle samples they were selling 3 for $5. Most were already gone but I found a couple that I thought smelt great and were worth trying. I was tempted to purchase a larger candle but was put off by the price and since I had never actually purchased a Slatkin & Co I thought the samples would be best. I have found a new favorite scent in their Autumn scent. It smells amazing. Exactly like Autumn smells in my mind, and Autumn/Fall happens to be my favorite time of year! I had this little candle lit in my room and you could smell it in my living room. That being said I wouldn't say that its a strong scent. It's a light scent, but the scent throw in amazing. The description on the sample reads, "A crisp fall fragrance that blends dark pomegranate with red delicious apple and juicy fig, with notes of fir balsam and rich cedarwood." I don't know that I'll buy this in full size as I have candles lit constantly and I felt that it burnt down a little faster than I'd like as well as being on the pricier side for the rate that I go through candles. I found this candle to be great for the average candle user. They retail for $19.50 for 14.5oz. So, I love the scent but my hunt for a candle that smells amazing, has a long burn time and a affordable price continues......

Hey everybody! This is not a makeup or review related post but I really wanted to share this super simple S'more Pie recipe. On my trip to Oregon I had eaten at a restaurant called Shari's. I had a really good pie, and as I was enjoying it I realized I could easily make it at home. A major plus is that it requires no baking. Making it perfect for summer. Here is how I made mine. Feel free to take liberties with your pie. Have fun and enjoy!

1 Box Chocolate Jello Pudding
1/2 cup Marshmellows(overflowing)
Whipped Cream
Pre-made Graham Cracker pie crust
Graham Crackers
Semi-sweet Chocolate Chips
1. Follow instructions for pie filling on Jello Pudding box. 2. Stir in Marshmellows. 3. Pour filling into graham pie crust.4. Cover filling with Whipped Cream 5. Place graham crackers on pie as desired. 6. Sprinkle with marshmellows and chocolate chips. Your done!

This post is a little late. I got my Diamond Candles this past week.I received them about a week after I placed my order. I'm very impressed with the candles themselves. They come in a very nice, thick glass container. I ordered the Dusk and the Sunwashed. Both smell amazing! The Dusk is kind of a softer mens cologne smell, kinda like mens cologne mixed with baby powder, and the Sunwashed literally smells like fresh clothes right out of the dryer. I knew going in that there was a very good chance that I would not get a Diamond, but I was still slightly disappointed. This doesn't stop me from wanting more though. I love candles and lite them around my house everyday. The quality of these candles is very good, so a candle worth buying without the Diamond. But!, this is why they are my new obsession they are great candles but with an extra surprise inside. I've seen it written many times on both their Facebook page and their website by many different women. "It's like Cracker Jacks for big girls!" My next choices in candles are Apple Slice and Lemon Lavender. They have also stated that they will be releasing new scents in time for Mother's Day! One of which has been revealed as Cupcake.
