Mally Beauty Ultimate Performance Professional Foundation Review

“Ultimate Performance is the professional quality foundation that delivers lasting, perfect coverage that looks natural and real. This luxurious cream foundation smoothes on for poreless, satiny coverage, that still looks like your skin. Never masky, it conceals fine lines, evens skin tone and wears and wears. It has just the right texture and finish to help you give the Ultimate Performance! Comes with a unique, ultra luxe Japanese foam applicator that allows you to apply and blend perfectly.”

I’ve never been a big fan of cream foundations because I have oily skin, they never last and don’t sit right on my skin, but because I love Mally Beauty products so much I was interested in how Mally’s Ultimate Performance Professional Foundation performed. Like Mally’s Evercolor Poreless Face Defender, the Professional Foundation comes with a Japanese Foam Applicator.  The first several times I applied the foundation I used the included applicator, and well it just wasn’t working it looked streaky and just wasn’t sitting right. I was pretty convinced that sadly Mally’s foundation fell in line with my opinion of cream foundations in general…They just don’t work for my oily skin.

As a reviewer it’s my job to thoroughly try and test out products, so I wasn’t giving up just yet. I pulled out my favorite Sigma rounded kabuki and used it to apply the Professional foundation, and I couldn’t have been more pleased with the results. I seriously looked like I had pulled out my airbrush system, my skin looked great. It evened out my skin tone and got rid of all the redness around my nose and chin. Since this foundation is made to let your natural skin show through, it didn’t cover my acne scars so I did have to use some concealer.  I was REALLY impressed when after several hours of being outside in nearly 100 degree weather the Professional Foundation held up amazingly well, and I only need a little touch up around my most oily area my T-zone in fact I thought that once it had a chance to set, it looked even better.

Since finding that I like the finish I get using a brush rather than the sponge provided I have used it every day. It’s great for summer; it gives just the right amount of coverage, its lightweight, and looks so natural.   I love it, and am so glad I played around with it.

Mally’s Ultimate Performance Professional Foundation retails for $40 and can be purchased on the Mally Beauty Website.

  1. hey, great review! I have a few questions: is it a heavy foundation? Also, what other products do you like by Mally. I've seen her on QVC and she's hilarious. I have yet to purchase any products from her though, any suggestions?

  2. @Meadhbh, I find this foundation to be really lightweight. It's been great for all this heat. It's a light to medium buildable coverage.

My absolute favorite Mally product are the Evercolor Starlight Waterproof Eyeliner Pencils. They are really pigmented and they do not budge at all. I have really watery eyes and most eyeliners that are marketed as waterproof still don't last, but the Starlight pencils last forever.

I'm also really loving the Shimmer, Shape and Glow. Also anything labeled with Evercolor, LOL. The Evercolor products last and last.
