Philips SatinPerfect Epilator Review

I'm a BzzAgent and as a member of their community I get to try out some really awesome products. The latest is the Philips SatinPerfect Epilator. Previous to receiving the epilator I had never used one before, so I really didn't know what to expect. I have tried waxing at home before with poor results. So like millions of woman I continued to shave ev-ver-ry-day. I have always hated shaving and have to admit that there have been times when I have just given up. Yep, that's right. I've been a Yetti before. (Don't judge me) I have sensitive skin so shaving no matter how much I exfoliate or use special creams or gels I always get razor burn. So, it has been. I kid you not....Years since I've worn shorts. I was always embarrassed of the red marks on my legs.

When the Philips SatinPerfect Epilator arrived I couldn't wait to try it. I used it for the first time the next day. I'm not gonna lie, it was excruciating! Frankly, I'm surprised the neighbors didn't phone the police. I literally screamed a few times. Especially around my ankles and behind my knees. I continued and finished my legs. I'm so glad that I did. While I had redness that lasted a few hours, it did go away. That first time I had some hairs that were left behind so it wasn't perfect. I re-read the manual and tried again a week later. The second time around it was way less painful and I managed to get perfectly smooth legs. Love This! Each time I use it, it hurts less and less. I barely feel any pain now. I do use it every Sunday, as I find that I have re-growth by then. Yetti anyone? Haha. I have tried my underarms and have to say that I didn't finish as I personally found it unbearable. The manual says that you can use it everywhere below your neck. I'll make it to other places...maybe. The underarms hurt so bad I'm scared to try my bikini area. All and all I love it for my legs. It's fab, and I can't wait to get into some shorts this year.

The awesome part? If the Epilator head is too much for you it comes with an excellent shaving head that gets you just as smooth, but since it doesn't pull out the hairs the way the epilator does you will get re-growth much quicker. I forgot to mention in the above paragraph that it comes with four head attachments.  Two for epilating and two for the shaver. Oh and I must not forget the tweezers that were included. The tweezers come in a case that looks like a lipstick and have an LED light attached that makes it really easy to find all the hairs. That being said while I was really impressed by the LED light I found that the tweezers themselves were horrible at grasping hairs. Bummer, but the Epilator itself is were it's at.

Here's the Pro scoop on the Philips SatinPerfect Epilator:

Smoother, faster, longer-lasting
Want stunningly smooth legs? You got 'em. With the new Philips SatinPerfect HP6576/50epilator, you'll get silky smoothness that lasts for up to four weeks in just minutes. That means more dresses, more comfort and more close moments, all with less effort. Now that's something worth talking about!
One stroke away from silky smooth
The new SatinPerfect epilator removes hair so fast, your legs are ready before you are. Thanks to an extra wide head and textured ceramic discs, it gently removes more hair in one stroke, so you're always just moments away from stunningly smooth legs.
Luxury for skin
Epilation removes unwanted hair directly from the root — yup, cue those watery eyes. Now dry them, because with SatinPerfect, comfort is as important as smoothness. That's why this epilator has an active massage system that soothes the skin, a pivoting performance cap for optimal skin contact and an active hair lifter to gently remove even the finest flat-lying hairs. Looking great has never felt so good.

The Philips SatinPerfect Epilator retails for $129.99 on Amazon and you can probably find it in your local Walmart or Target.

  4. I hate shaving too. I love the way epilators make skin feel. Like you, I have not dared to go anywhere near my bikini area with an epilator.
