The Montagne Jeunesse Strawberry Souffle Masque was another item I received in my Influenster Holiday Voxbox. It was one of the products I was most excited to try as I love facial masks. I was not disappointed.
The Strawberry Souffle masque smelled yummy, and had little exfoliants in it. Super simple to apply and remove. I have somewhat sensitive skin and the Montagne Jeunesse Strawberry Souffle masque did not cause any irritation. My skin felt really soft after I removed the mask and also seemed to be glowing. Priced between $1.25-$2.25 Montagne Jeunesse Masques are definitely worth seeking out and purchasing. Next time I head out to CVS or Walmart I will be looking out for these. I was just out a week or two ago and picked up a mud mask from another company only to put it back after finding out that it was 6 bucks! I see on their website that they have a Chocolate Mud Masque, that is right up my alley. I love the smell of chocolate and I also really love a good mud masque. There are many masques to choose from:
Cucumber Peel Off
Passion Peel Off
Dead Sea Mud
Fruit Smoothie
Strawberry Souffle
Chocolate Mud
And many more!
The Montagne Jeunesse Masques can be purchased at Walmart, CVS, Ulta, Kroger and many other retailers across the US. Montagne Jeunesse are vegetarian approved, paraben free and never tested on animals. Why waste money at an expensive spa, when you can bring the spa home with Montagne Jeunesse? A few months back I did a review for New Beauty's TestTube. The Stand out product for me hands down was the Mally Beauty Evercolor Starlight Waterproof Eyeliner. I got my start reviewing beauty products exclusively. I have used many eyeliners that are labeled waterproof. While most will withstand a little bit of water, heaven forbid you get it wet then dare to touch it. The others would always start running if exposed to more than a fine mist of water. So when I tried the Mally Beauty Evercolor Starlight Eyeliner I was amazed, this baby isn't going anywhere! No matter how much water or rubbing you do! I couldn't even get it off with soap and water alone. For the first time, I needed an actual eye makeup remover to get the eyeliner off. As a woman whose eyes are constantly watering the Mally Beauty Eyeliner was a savior. Sadly, I used my eyeliner down and it needed to be sharpened. I used a cheap pencil sharpener and well my eyeliner looked like it'd been through a dull wood chipper. Oh, I was so sad. I couldn't save it. Never again. Only the finest sharpener for my Mally pencils. The Mally Beauty Evercolor Starlight Waterproof Eyeliner retails for $15. Which is pricey for an eyeliner but it is well worth it. That's $15 well spent.
After trying Mally's Evercolor Eyeliner I knew I was gonna love her makeup line and I just had to got my greedy little hands on more Mally Beauty products. Before I get into the amazing products I get to review. Let's talk a little about Mally Roncal. Mally has been doing makeup on celebrity's for years. She knows her stuff and she is all about sharing tips and tricks she uses on her celebrity's clients to all her Mallynista's, (Mallynistas are Mally's fans and Mally Beauty lovers). You really couldn't ask for someone more knowledgeable and experienced to be making and designing cosmetics.
So in the vein of eye products I got to sample the Eye Amplifying Eyeshadow Duo in Stone and Deep Plum. There are two different duo sets. One made to enhance brown and hazel eyes which is the Stone and Deep Plum that I received and a duo set made to enhance blue and green eyes in the colors Glitzy and Pretty Penny. When Mally says that these eyeshadows are going to amplify your eyes she means it. I have to be honest and say that I have never been a fan of my own dark brown eyes, but with the Deep Plum, I felt my eyes were beautiful. They really did pop. These eyeshadow sticks are really creamy and do not tug on my eyelids at all. As with the eyeliners, I really love that once these baby's are given a chance to set they are not going to budge until you want them too. The Eye Amplifying Shadow Liners can be bought exclusively from QVC and retail for $35.
The Eyeshadow Base is the next product I got to sample. Eyeshadow Base in another product that I have tried a lot of and rarely have success with. The reason for that is I have a lovely purple birthmark on my right eyelid that if not covered up looks as if I have a black eye. Not only is it not the prettiest thing it also makes my eyeshadow look uneven. In makeup symmetry is important. I love that it took the littlest amount of product to completely cover my birthmark, leaving both my eyes with the same base color and my eyeshadow lasted all day and didn't crease at all. Mally Beauty's Eyeshadow Base can be purchased on Mally's website and retails for $18.
I'm loving the single products I received, but I think the real stars are the sets, kits and palettes. You definitely get a really great value. I got to try out Mally's More Perfect Palette. This palette comes with everything you need for your entire face. Just put on your foundation and The More Perfect Palette will help you achieve any look your going for. This palette includes 6 eyeshadows in: Mally’s Glow, Browlight, Natural, Shimmering Taupe, Broadway Bronze and Nolita Navy. Two Blushes in Mally's Look & Romantic. Eyeshadow Base and Luminizer. Lipgloss in Blossom and three great brushes. Not to mention that it comes with a great little booklet with 3 easy looks and some great tips and tricks. The eyeshadow's and blushes are really velvety in texture, very pigmented and buildable. The lipgloss is a gorgeous color and lasts a long time without being sticky at all. I've had such a great time trying different looks with this palette. I love the long wear time. I did a little research and found that each product bought separately would be 160+ Value! The Mally Beauty More Perfect Palette retails for only $65, and can be found on the Mally Beauty website.
Lastly, Is the Mally Beauty 24/7 Professional Brow Shaping Kit. I have always had really sparse eye brows. I would love for my brows to be thicker. If the skinny high arched brows were still in style I'd be set. Sadly, they are not. I've tried other brow pencils and I never like them as they don't look natural and with the summer heat they usually start to travel. This kit doesn't include one of those types of brow pencils. It comes in 3 colors, Taupe, Medium Brown, and Sable. In it is: the brow pencil, and a brow powder duo, one side to set the pencil and soften the look a bit and the other side is as Mally says to give the brows that extra, "umph". As with other Mally Beauty eye products, Once applied there is nothing that's going to take it off, except eye makeup remover. I love that! I have oily skin on top of living in an area that get's really hot. I love that I will no longer have to worry about my makeup sliding off. The 24/7 Brow Shaping Professional Kit retails for $35 and can be found on the Mally Beauty Website here.
If you can't tell. I am now included in the ranks of other "Mallynistas". I'm loving everything that I got to sample and I can't wait to try out some other products. My only complaint? You can't buy Mally Beauty in any stores. I wish I could head out to a store and try out products. Another thing I would like to mention is that there is a video demo showing you how to use every one of Mally's products, and for an average skilled makeup applier I find these demos really helpful! Not to mention Mally Roncal is not only funny but personable. You can't help but liking her. You can find Mally Beauty on Facebook and on their website here.
Alright, now time for the Giveaway.... Mally Beauty has been kind enough to sponsor a giveaway for Kristy's Place Reviews & Giveaways followers. What will you get if you win? A while back I wrote a short blog about some of the ways I receive free products to review. One of those ways is through a website called Smiley360. You just sign up and complete the first mission which is just a sharing mission that asks you to share Smiley360 on Facebook or Twitter. Then they will start offering you missions where they send you free products to try out and review. I just received a free glass Pyrex pan with coupons for free Pam Cooking Spray, Coupons for free Hunt's Products, and a Pam Spatula, to try out. Did I mention it was totally free? My latest mission is for Redbox, I get free Redbox rentals and all they ask is that I take a survey after the Mission is over! I love it, and I know you will too!
They are also currently giving away two Ipad 2's! Here is the Link: http://smiley360.com/
Congratulations to our 3 winners Anji, Michelle, and Patricia!! A Special thank you to AXE for sponsoring such a great giveaway! Thank you to everyone whom entered, and be on the lookout for new giveaways coming soon!
I received the imPress Press-on Manicure nails in my Influenster Voxbox and while I thought they looked cute, I wasn't so sure about them. I mean we all remember the old press on nails. You know the ones that always popped right off as soon as you tried to go about your regular everyday activities. I put the imPress Press-on Nails this morning following the simple directions and started to gingerly go about my morning routine. I soon started to just do things normally, soon realizing that these baby's weren't about to pop right off. I did everything I normally do including showering and washing my hands several times. Yep, they stayed on. That being said I wouldn't recommend soaking your hands in water or anything as that would most likely make them come off. It's now 7PM, and I just took them off. I put them on about 8AM this morning, not one of them was close to coming off. I took them off simply because I wasn't crazy about the design (Space Cadet) on them. I have to say I'm amazed and truly impressed, I never thought press-on nails could be this strong or this easy to use.
Introducing imPress Press-On Manicure by Broadway Nails, the revolutionary way to apply polish! Featuring advanced nail technology, you can get a salon-perfect manicure in seconds – simply peel off, press on, and you're done. They are sold 24 in a pack and I will be on the look out for them at my local stores. I really love the imPress Press-on Nails and after looking at all 36 colors and designs I can't wait to try more.
