New Gilette Venus & Olay Razor

As a member of Influenster, I often get the opportunity to try out great products for free. Most recently I received the new Gillette Venus & Olay razor before it hit the shelves! While having soap surrounding razors is not a new thing, Gillette has combined the Venus 5 blade razor with Olay. I Love this! I am a fan of Olay and have always loved how soft their soap makes my skin. Not to mention I'm lazy and one less step in my shaving routine is fantastic. MyGlam Bag March

 I have to say that MyGlam has very swiftly gone downhill.  MyGlam promoted themselves as being the place to actually get quality deluxe cosmetic samples delivered to your mailbox for only $10 a month. MyGlam Bag started out with a bang which is to be expected, of course the first month is going to be amazing. Sadly, in the four months that MyGlam has been around not only have the products offered been terrible, but the customer service is seriously lacking. Granted, MyGlam is a new company and they are still working out the kinks, but when customers are being charged for bags that they aren't receiving and promised special items in their next bags and instead receiving nothing...It's a big problem. All one has to do is head to their Facebook page. Happy customers are few and far between. I'm teetering on whether to keep my subscription and toughing it out or cancelling altogether. Do you receive MyGlam Bags? What do you think? I would love to hear your thoughts.

Philips SatinPerfect Epilator Review

I'm a BzzAgent and as a member of their community I get to try out some really awesome products. The latest is the Philips SatinPerfect Epilator. Previous to receiving the epilator I had never used one before, so I really didn't know what to expect. I have tried waxing at home before with poor results. So like millions of woman I continued to shave ev-ver-ry-day. I have always hated shaving and have to admit that there have been times when I have just given up. Yep, that's right. I've been a Yetti before. (Don't judge me) I have sensitive skin so shaving no matter how much I exfoliate or use special creams or gels I always get razor burn. So, it has been. I kid you not....Years since I've worn shorts. I was always embarrassed of the red marks on my legs.

  When the Philips SatinPerfect Epilator arrived I couldn't wait to try it. I used it for the first time the next day. I'm not gonna lie, it was excruciating! Frankly, I'm surprised the neighbors didn't phone the police. I literally screamed a few times. Especially around my ankles and behind my knees. I continued and finished my legs. I'm so glad that I did. While I had redness that lasted a few hours, it did go away. That first time I had some hairs that were left behind so it wasn't perfect. I re-read the manual and tried again a week later. The second time around it was way less painful and I managed to get perfectly smooth legs. Love This! Each time I use it, it hurts less and less. I barely feel any pain now. I do use it every Sunday, as I find that I have re-growth by then. Yetti anyone? Haha. I have tried my underarms and have to say that I didn't finish as I personally found it unbearable. The manual says that you can use it everywhere below your neck. I'll make it to other places...maybe. The underarms hurt so bad I'm scared to try my bikini area. All and all I love it for my legs. It's fab, and I can't wait to get into some shorts this year.

 The awesome part? If the Epilator head is too much for you it comes with an excellent shaving head that gets you just as smooth, but since it doesn't pull out the hairs the way the epilator does you will get re-growth much quicker. I forgot to mention in the above paragraph that it comes with four head attachments.  Two for epilating and two for the shaver. Oh and I must not forget the tweezers that were included. The tweezers come in a case that looks like a lipstick and have an LED light attached that makes it really easy to find all the hairs. That being said while I was really impressed by the LED light I found that the tweezers themselves were horrible at grasping hairs. Bummer, but the Epilator itself is were it's at.

Lightning-fast Spanish for Kids & Families Review

 I have always had a limited understanding of Spanish. Growing up I had friends whose families spoke nothing but Spanish, Spending most of my time at my best friends home whose parent's were both from Spanish speaking countries(Mexico, & Puerto Rico) I did manage to pick a little up. I have never however been very good a speaking it. In High School my chosen "Foreign Language" course was American Sign Language....Why did I pick that?  I have never used it, and pretty much forgotten it. Living in the California Valley I have found a need to know and speak Spanish. I happen to live in a neighborhood where a large part of my neighbors are Mexican Immigrants and the language barrier can sometimes be a nuisance, so when I was approached to do a review on Lightning-fast Spanish for Kid's and Families I jumped at the opportunity.

 Lightning-Fast Spanish for Kids and Families helps you incorporate Spanish into your daily life, by giving you conversation or role play examples for everyday activities.

The book starts out with Conversation #1 Getting Dressed:

• You will hold up two different items of clothing, and ask questions. Here are several different examples:

This conversation of course includes a list of how to say all items of clothing and another list of how to say all the colors. 

 I really love how the author includes easy ways to understand how to properly pronounce everything which is a huge help. Being able to practice in conversations while you learn is a huge help in understanding and learning faster. Also in the book are great and fun games to play like Bingo, Treasure Hunts, Scavenger Hunts, and even how to sing the Hokey Pokey in Spanish. I am learning but not nearly as fast as my 3yr old. I'm so excited. How awesome to be able to teach my child and myself a second language easily and quickly. I have had this book for about a month and can say my Spanish has greatly improved.
